Marina Celeste is one of the voice of the french famous band NOUVELLE VAGUE.She has already done more than 180 shows all over the world. She released, on her own, 3 solo albums, which met a great success in Japan and Europe : « Acidulé », « Cinéma Enchanté » and in 2011 « The Angel Pop » with the collaboration of the mythic Terry HALL the singer of THE SPECIALS himself. Recently, she met BOGDAN TERRY a new young producer in PARIS. Marina Celeste and Bogdan Terry started recording new songs together while touring as a duet on stage, mixing laptop and groovy guitars. Récemment Marina a rencontré Bogdan Terry, jeune producteur parisien avec lequel elle a commencé l'élaboration de nouvelles chansons, tout en multipliant les concerts en duo avec lui, à travers l'Europe et plus loin encore (France, Allemagne, Russie, Kazakhstan, Estonie, Royaume-Uni ...).
Leurs chansons font renaitre l'ambiance des années 90,tout en s'influençant de la musique de Robert Palmer (de ces hits groovy comme "John and Mary"), et en y apportant quelque chose de nouveau et unique:
l'extrême sensualité de la voix de Marina Celeste.
For Marina, the rest of the year are devoted to touring and playing gigs to start to share the songs from their forthcoming debut album with the world.

Backed by an excellent guitarist and, at times, synthetic backing tapes, the new songs were a mix of dreamy Gallic pop, breezy jazz numbers and Pet Shop Boys influenced electro. Very much the classic French sex kitten, her breathy voice sang of love, aging and feminism – on a jaunty rock n roll number. “Throughout, her hypnotic performance mesmerises the whole audience including Terry. It’s a crazy whirl, the coat is on again, then off, she slinks up the step ladder, lounges on the chair all whilst singing, mainly in English, heavily laced with French enunciation. It’s not all singing though, she makes noises during songs too, including on her cover of the Nina Simone classic, My Baby Just Cares For Me. Some noises are childlike, others insanely sexy, it’s all the same to her as she struts the stage, somehow at once demure and provocative. Her rendition of Love Cats is paws down better than the Cure’s performance I saw at Bestival earlier this year. “Le sombre sous sol était le lieu idéal pour permettre à la chanteuse de Nouvelle Vague de nous révéler son nouvel album.
Accompagné par un excellent guitariste et par moment par des enregistrements synthétiques , les nouvelles chansons étaient un mélange de pop celtique rêveuse,
de morceaux jazzy évaporés et de titres électro à la Pet Shop Boys.
Totalement dans son rôle de femme française sexy, sa voix pleine de souffle chanta l’amour, la vieillesse et même le féminisme, lors d’un morceau rock and roll déjanté.
Les reprises attendues furent délivrées avec finesse, particulièrement un bon vieux“Guns Of Brixton”, et un “Lovecats” enjoué, tandis que les subtiles chansons acoustiques
parvinrent à faire taire même ceux qui n’étaient venue que pour discuter.”

“Tout du long, sa performance hypnotique captiva entièrement le publique, y compris Bogdan Terry. C’est un tourbillon déjanté, le manteau est remis puis ôté à nouveau, elle
s’esquive en haut de l’escarbot, s’allonge sur le fauteuil tout en chantant, principalement en anglais avec une prononciation lourdement marquée de français.
Elle ne fait pas que chanter cela dit, elle intègre également des bruits au cœur des chansons, parmi lesquels sa reprise du classique de
Nina Simone “My Baby Juste Cares For Me”. Certains de ces bruits sont enfantins, d’autres incroyablement sexy,
c’est du pareil au même pour elle alors qu’elle se pavane sur la scène, à la fois réservé et provocante.
Sa version de “Lovecats” balaye d’un coup de patte la version de Cure que j’ai vue plus tôt cette année au Bestival.
On croirait facilement que Robert Smith l’a écrit uniquement pour elle.”
